The photos in this collection capture a “feeling” rather than a specific location or a specific timeframe. “Images of the Old West” is meant to convey a nostalgia and reverance for simpler times, wide-open landscapes, and untouched wilderness in the American West.
About the photographers:
Jerry Ward is a seasoned photographer originating from northwestern Pennsylvania and currently residing in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Drawing inspiration from earlier pioneers such as Paul Strand, Edward Weston and Ansel Adams, Jerry started out in film photography and darkroom print production, later transitioning to a fully digital workflow with both black & white and color processing along with fine art printing. Jerry specializes in black & white landscape photography as well as images of Mexico and the American Southwest. His work has received photographic society accolades and is on display in a number of homes and institutional settings.
Jeremy Ward (owner, Spruce ImageWorks) is a landscape photographer and videographer from western New York, now residing in northern Colorado. Jeremy enjoys capturing images of the Rocky Mountain region and creating videos that capture the feel of special places and times.
